BPP Publishes DeBunking Myths report

News from US-Mexico Border Philanthropy Partnership | November 9, 2009

The DeBunking Myths report is part of, and the first offering of the BPP's Quality of Life Indicator Project.

This long-term project creates, collects and synthesizes data that tells a more accurate story of the border region, from a bintional perspective and through the lens of civil society.

The lead researcher on the project is Prof. Kimberly Collins, Director of the California Center for Border and Regional Economic Studies (CCBRES) of San Diego State University-Imperial Valley. Dr. Collins is joined by a team of the region's top scholars in advancing the research that underpins this project.

Building on pre-existing data, Debunking Myths takes a closer look at four common myths about the border and presents researched findings that offer a more accureate understanding of life in the border region.
